Our team had a great showing at @usa_powerlifting_pennsylvania PA States this year. Always a pleasure to participate in exciting local meets like this, tons of energy on both days from all the competitors, spectators, spotters, and coaches. We ended Peaking and Tapering Strategies

We've discussed this before, but there is still a worthwhile conversation to be had regarding the peaking and tapering process. Not too long ago it was common to hear coaches advising lifters take a whole week off lea Grip Width in the Bench Press

Of course we had to capitalize on all the discussion around bench range of motion and grip width and drop yet another post discussing this! The main point here is there isn’t one right grip, and range of motion is We had three athletes compete last weekend at USAPL PA States, all of whom showed out and cleaned up with PR Totals.

Maria Galick (82.5) competed on Saturday and totaled 505kg, a 20kg meet PR total consisting of a 200kg Squat, 117.5kg Bench, and a 1 NJ STATES RECAP 
Eric had a 7/9 day with a PR in each lift and the total.
After missing his opening squat, he was able to complete his second and third attempt and set a PR at 165kg (5kg PR)
On bench, Eric opened conservatively, made a jump to 90kg f USPA DT Nats Recap 2022 Part 2

Harris (90kg) had some rough external factors coming in, traveling the week before the meet for work and having to water cut for the first time simultaneously. Our real only goal this meet was to PR the total and we ma USPA DT Nats Recap 2022 Part 1

Maggie (52kg) had an excellent day, going 7/9, PRing her total by 20kg, dots by nearly 30 points, and coming in third in her class. Coming in, we were dealing with some lingering pain on squat which impacted our abilit 🪣 Fill the bucket🪣
